Important Facts for Our Clients

  • Q: Are there age requirements?
  • A: Yes! At Glisten, clients under the age of 18 must have signed permission from a parent or guardian before receiving services. Clients ages 13–15 are required to have a parent or guardian present in the room during the service.  Clients under the age of 13 will be scheduled on an individual basis. 


  • Q: What is Glisten's Credit Card Policy?
  • A: Glisten Skin and Beauty Bar requires a valid credit or debit card on file to schedule an appointment. First-time clients may provide this information in person or over the phone with our front desk staff or through the MindBody app. Cards on file may be charged in accordance with our cancellation, late arrival, no-show, or service policies. Glisten does not store or share your payment information outside of our secure booking system.


  • Q: Does Glisten Skin and Beauty Bar have a Cancellation Policy?
  • A: Yes, Glisten requires a 24 hour notice for all cancellations.  Failing to do so results in a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service. This will be applied to your card on file and is due prior to any future bookings.


  • Q: What should you expect when booking the Steam Room and Sauna?
  • A: When you reserve the Steam Room and Sauna, you’ll enjoy exclusive use of both amenities for the full 60 minutes. We provide a secure locker, towels, a robe, and slippers for your comfort. Please note that nudity is not permitted. Guests should bring appropriate attire, such as a bathing suit, or may request a complimentary wrap to use during their visit.  When using the sauna, we ask that you do not adjust anything on the operating panel, please ask the front desk staff for assistance. Our sauna is infrared and the temperature is kept at 120 degrees. 


  • Q: Can I receive services in areas with active sores?
  • A: For health and safety reasons, Glisten asks clients to reschedule any appointment if there are active sores, wounds, or irritated areas in the treatment or service zone.  This helps protect both your skin during healing and overall sanitation standards. 


  • Q: When receiving lash services, are there any special instructions for my appointment?
  • A: For your lash appointment, please arrive without mascara and avoid wearing contact lenses. This helps ensure the lashes adhere properly and keeps the application process more comfortable and hygienic. This applies to lash lifts, tints, and extensions.


  • Q: When receiving facials, waxing or sugaring services; are there any instructions for my appointment?
  • A: Yes, before facial, waxing, or sugaring services, it’s recommended that you avoid using retinols, exfoliants, or acne medications for at least 48 hours prior to your appointment, as these products can make the skin more sensitive. It’s also best to arrive with clean skin and let your provider know about any recent skin treatments, allergies, or sensitivities.


  • Q: Gift Card Information
  • A: Gift cards can be purchased over the phone at (505)662-1926, in person with Glisten staff, or through MindBody.  Gift cards are valid for 12 months after the original purchase date and are non refundable.   It is up to the client to use the gift card before it expires and to keep track of the gift card.  


  • Q: What is included with a massage?
  • A: When receiving a massage at Glisten, guests are provided access to our dressing rooms, private lockers, robes, towels, and slippers. You are also entitled to one hour of complimentary use of the sauna and steam room on the day of your massage, if available. 


  • Q: What product brands are used in the Glisten nail room?
  • A: CND, DND, Gelish, OPI, Zoya and SmartSpa.
